GROUP SHOW PROSPECTUS 

JULY 5-30  Group Show of Area Artists (Juried)

Artist's Reception Saturday, July 9, 3-5PM

DEADLINE: extended to JUNE 10

ARTISTS:  Artist residents living within a 30 mile radius of Franklin, MA are eligible to enter.

Artists must be at least 18 years old.

MEDIA:  Limited to two-dimensional artwork. (Paintings, hand-made prints, drawings, photos, collages, etc.)

PRESENTATION:  All art must be professionally framed, with a wire or hanging hardware on the back.

Works on paper must have glass or plexiglass glazing. 

Gallery-wrapped canvas will be accepted without frames providing the edges are clean.

NO WET PAINTINGS.

SIZE:  Maximum FRAMED dimension = 30" in length or height

ORIGINALS ONLY, entirely created by the applicant. No copies or reproductions.

Number of Entries: ONE

Jury Fee: NONE. 

However, accepted artists will be requested to pay $15 to offset the costs of publicity

(postcards, postage, press releases, etc.) and the costs of the opening reception.

Juror: To be announced

SALES:  All work must be for sale.  The gallery charges a 25% commission.

REPRODUCTIONS/PRINTS: Exhibiting artists will be invited to have a selection of up to

10 reproductions in the gallery's print-bins during the exhibition. 

Reproductions must be suitably protected by shrink-wrap or other plastic, and backed by

fome-core board or other board for stablity.

INSURANCE:  Care will be taken to avoid damages, but artwork, frames, etc.

will NOT be insured by the gallery before, during or after the exhibition or at any time. 

ENTRY PROCEDURE: 

       Photo size should not be bigger than 10" x 10" @ 72 dpi. (if possible.)

       (A single photo showing the artwork only - crop out the frame as much as possible).

       You may also send ONE detail photo, if you think it will help.

HERE'S HOW to change your title on a PC: 

1. On your computer, open the folder which contains the photo.
2. Find the THUMBNAIL view of your photo.
3. Put your mouse pointer on the thumbnail and Right-Click.  An options box should appear.
4. Select "Rename"
5. The name under the thumbnail will be highlighted in blue.
6. Put your cursor on the name, delete the old name and type in "your-name" (with the hyphen)
7. Click enter.
8. If you have more than one photo, rename the second one "your-name-2"  etc.
